Program Models
Georgia. PINES utilizes four nationally validated curricula, the SKI-HI and
INSITE models, as
well as the VIISA and Dear Mentors models, all developed at Utah State
University. SKI-HI, INSITE, and VIISA services are provided by professionals
called parent advisors.
The Deaf Mentor Model is provided by signing deaf adults with a four-year
degree, involved with the Deaf Community
Regular home visits are made to train families and/or caregivers of the child.
The team approach is encouraged among the Georgia. PINES staff and with other individuals and agencies serving the families.
