What Does Georgia PINES Do?

Provides training to professionals who deliver services to families of children with hearing and/or vision loss.

Provides technical assistance and family training in four models:

  • SKI-HI for children with hearing loss
  • INSITE for children with a sensory loss and additional impairments.
  • VIISA for children with visual impairments.
  • Deaf Mentor for families who would like to learn about sign language as their main communication model, and also learn about deaf culture.

Makes referrals to and collaborates with Babies Can't Wait, the Georgia Sensory Assistance Project, and many other agencies

Provides in-services/workshops on sensory impairments and their implications for both families and professionals
