Upcoming Parent Advisor Training:

  • Georgia PINES trains professionals annually to contract as parent advisors for the program.
  • SKI-HI parent advisors serving families of children with hearing loss are degreed teachers of the deaf/hard of hearing, audiologists, and speech/language pathologists.
  • Parent advisors using the INSITE Model come from a variety of backgrounds including teachers of the visually impaired, orientation and mobility specialists, early childhood special needs teachers, teachers of the hearing impaired, and other related special education fields.
  • VIISA training is offered to parent advisors previously trained in the INSITE Model who are currently serving families of children with vision impairment only through Georgia PINES.
