Georgia PINES staff members are on call to help you.  Our job is to support and empower you to move forward confidently, making and acting on decisions that will be best for your child with vision impairment/ hearing loss and your family.

Georgia PINES’ staff can assist in many ways, including:

Providing family-centered intervention services in the natural environment. The parent/guardian is expected to participate with our professional in each session.

Providing emotional support.

Answering your questions and hearing your concerns.

Guiding you to learn and investigate information about your child’s diagnosis and exploring options.

Providing written information and other multi-media products.

Connecting you to experienced parents, professionals and school systems.

Conducting assessments to help parents make informed decisions.   

Modeling skills and teaching the family strategies to develop your child’s residual vision/hearing.

Helping you to see the positive aspects of a happy and productive future with your child with vision impairment/hearing loss.
